May 25, 2007 - TWINSBURG, OH – Pepperl+Fuchs introduces the VAA-2E-G4-SE AS-Interface Safety at Work module. This IP67 rated AS-Interface safety module features two inputs for connection of a non-contact Type 4 safety device according to EN 61496-1. It powers safety light curtains via the flat, black AS-Interface cable, and allows the connection of standard PNP sensors for muting applications. The module is NFPA79:2002 and IEC61508 approved, cUL listed and carries the CE mark. “AS-Interface Safety at Work has historically been used with safety inputs offering single or dual redundant dry contacts, such as emergency stop switches and gate interlock switches.
