Checkmaster 2 modular test device makes it easy to check the health status of Phoenix Contact surge-protection plugs.

January 15, 2016 - Phoenix Contact announces Checkmaster 2 test device that makes it easy to check the health status of Phoenix Contact surge-protection plugs.

The Checkmaster 2 thoroughly checks protective elements such as spark gaps, gas-filled surge arresters, voltage-dependent resistors, and suppressor diodes in a single test cycle.

Test results are recorded electronically in accordance with the IEC 62305 lightning protection standards and saved to internal memory with power supply failure protection. Reports from the test are available via USB stick for convenient review and processing.

Some other features of the Checkmaster 2 include a barcode scanner and keypad for easy operation, automatic documentation of test results, and an option for manual entry of circuit identification. Additionally, the Checkmaster 2 is backward-compatible with most Phoenix Contact pluggable surge-protection devices.
