UT 2.5-MT, -TG, and -MTD knife disconnect, component and feed-through terminal blocks with 2.5 mm2 cross sections save space.

December 4, 2008 - Phoenix Contact's screw-connection terminal blocks now includes knife disconnect, component and feed-through terminal blocks with 2.5 mm2 cross sections. The new UT 2.5-MT, -TG, and -MTD terminal blocks save space while providing a full range of functionality. A compact design with common profile conserves valuable DIN rail space.

The uniform dual-bridge channel delivers quick and easily configurable distribution. Like the UT 4 and UT 6 series, the UT 2.5 terminal blocks, which are UL rated for 300 V (MT, TG) and 600 V (MTD), support switchgear and control system applications. The UT (Universal Terminal) products combine the advantages of secure screw connection technology with the Reakdyne principle, a patented design that prevents screw back-out. This makes UT ideal for variable temperature or high vibration environments.

The UT series is part of Phoenix Contact's CLIPLINE Complete system, which features standardized push-in bridging, marking and testing accessories for all connection technologies. Phoenix Contact is a world leader in electrical connection, electronic interface and industrial automation technologies. A global company with annual sales exceeding 1 billion euro, Phoenix Contact GmbH & Co., Blomberg, Germany, operates 46 international subsidiaries, including Phoenix Contact USA in Middletown, Pa. Phoenix Contact's formal Integrated Management Systems meet International Standards Organization (ISO) quality, environmental and safety requirements (ISO 9001:2000, 14001:2004 and 18001:1999).
