[Harrisburg, Pa. – April 30, 2004] Phoenix Contact Inc., a leader in industrial automation and interface solutions, has announced that Donald B. Springer will retire from his position as President and Chief Executive Officer of Phoenix Contact Manufacturing effective today. Mr.
Springer had served as President of Phoenix Contact since 1981 and assumed his current position in 2001 when Phoenix Contact Manufacturing was formed. Jack Nehlig, who along with his current role as President of Phoenix Contact Inc., will assume the leadership of Phoenix Contact Manufacturing.Mr. Springer opened Phoenix Contact’s initial operation in the United States in 1981 and successfully guided Phoenix Contact USA to its current position of industry leadership.
