Phoenix Contact releases Twin-PT HEAVYCON terminal inserts
The heavy-duty contact inserts are compatible with many common transmission lines, so they can be combined with other housings and connection mechanisms.

July 27, 2017 – The Twin-PT contact inserts from Phoenix Contact are the first HEAVYCON inserts available with Push-in termination for two conductors per contact. This enables two conductors to be wired in one contact point without special tools.

The heavy-duty contact inserts are compatible with many common transmission lines, so they can be combined with other housings and connection mechanisms. They are -suited for not only standard housing types but also for box-mounting bases and EVO double-outlet plug housings.

Using these bridging elements, multiplication of potential can be implemented directly in the connector. This opens up new possibilities in power transmission and high-position signal wiring. The Twin-PT inserts are available with a fixed number of positions as well as a modular insert design for use in the B-series housings. Inserts with single Push-in Technology are also being introduced for use in the compact D-series housings.
