July 11, 2018 – Phoenix Contact’s VAL-US surge protection is Listed to UL 1449 and is available with up to 80 kA surge capacity. This line was developed specifically to conform to North American-centric voltage values and includes a variety of U.S. -based circuit configurations. The VAL-US provides a UL Listed alternative to traditional hardwired SPDs, allowing for fewer installation steps and integration into virtually any system.
The VAL-US series offers remote status indication, which allows the user to monitor SPD status. The plugs of the VAL-US series protect devices either over time or in moments of high transients. Additionally, the plug’s key alignment prevents the plugs from being inserted into the incorrect voltage systems. The VAL-US series has been developed with products specifically configured for single phase, split phase, three phase, delta, and high-leg delta.
