Phoenix Contact created Diversenet, a cellular modem package that is easy to set up and deploy.

June 24, 2009 - As an industrial GSM/GPRS modem provider, Phoenix Contact recognizes that finding the correct service plan can be one of the biggest challenges in deploying GSM/GPRS modems on the AT&T network. To solve this issue, Phoenix Contact has partnered with Stanza Systems, a GSM/GPRS service provider, to create a Diversenet, modem package that is easy to set up and deploy. All Phoenix Contact GSM/GPRS modems ship with a pre-installed SIM card that can be activated by visiting the Diversenet portal. Using the Diversenet modem package, there is no need to contact AT&T, find the correct representative for the service needed, and sign a long-term service agreement. The Diversenet portal provides an easy interface to activate the Phoenix Contact GSM/GPRS modem.

It offers a variety of services, data and SMS options. There are no commitments or contracts to sign. After activating the GSM/GPRS modem via the portal network, communications are typically available in less than 10 minutes. Diversenet allows three types of data communication: Dynamic IP, Virtual Static IP, and VPN secure networks. Each data option provides a unique way of accessing information from the devices attached to the GSM/GPRS modem.

This connectivity spans from the traditional dynamic IP addressing services to private network access creating a static IP address, allowing the remote GSM/GPRS modem to be accessible at all times.Phoenix Contact is a world leader in electrical connection, electronic interface and industrial automation technologies.
