Phoenix Contact's TRIO 1500 V DC/DC Converter Expands High-voltage Conversion Capabilities
Phoenix Contact’s newest TRIO DC/DC converter accepts an extremely wide input range of 510 V DC to 1650 V DC and converts that voltage to a regulated 24 V DC.

Middletown, Pa. - Phoenix Contact’s newest TRIO DC/DC converter accepts an extremely wide input range of 510 V DC to 1650 V DC and converts that voltage to a regulated 24 V DC. This high-voltage range makes it ideal for solar and railway applications, but the converter can be used anywhere that requires conversion of a high DC voltage to a stable 24 V DC output. An internal circuit within the robust metal housing provides resistance against electromagnetic interference. The DC/DC converter also features a high mean time between failure (MTBF), internal overvoltage protection circuitry, and a low output voltage ripple.

To increase safety and reliability, the device has high surge voltage resistance and unique safe grounding circuitry for different grounding concepts. Push-in connections make tool-free installation easy. The new TRIO 1500 V DC/DC converter also has a local DC-OK LED and a relay output to monitor the output voltage. The device can be installed in parallel to increase the output power or for a redundant operation. The TRIO DC/DC converter is certified to UL 62109.

When used with the recommended surge protection, the converter is covered by the Phoenix Contact Limited Lifetime Warranty, maximizing reliability.
