Harrisburg, Pa. – A no-hassle approach to installing terminal blocks is now a reality with Phoenix Contact’s new line of UT 4 screw clamp terminal blocks. The 6.2mm two-conductor feed-through family of products, including ground, diode, disconnects and fuse blocks, all have the same common profile. This makes wiring, labeling and testing fast and simple, ideal for applications in the petrochemical industry.

In addition to the standard knife disconnect, a lever style is available which not only matches the length of the fuse block, but also the height, for a perfect profile match. The UT line of terminal blocks incorporates a dual center channel to accommodate a tool-less bridging system. A patented push-in jumper is available in 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 or 20 positions and provides for all types of chain and skip bridging possibilities. The wire insertion area of the UT 4 terminal blocks is designed so that flexible conductors with or without ferrules can be connected without difficulty.

Test connectors that fit into the bridge shaft of the terminal block are available in diameters of 2.3mm and 4mm, making trouble shooting worry-free. Termination points are easily marked with standard Zack strip ZB markers.Additional features include nickel-plated copper alloy metal parts to resist corrosion and the ‘Reakdyn Principle’ product design to prevent screws from backing out.

The plastic housings are made of polyamide 6.6 with a UL flammability rating of 94-V0.Phoenix Contact Inc. Quality System is registered to ISO 9001: 2000 - Quality Systems Model for Quality Assurance in design, development, production, installation and servicing.
