February 20, 2020 – At Physik Instrumente (PI) GmbH & Co. worldwide headquarters in Karlsruhe, Germany, a long-planned generational change has been implemented in its management.
In his role, Markus Spanner has established an extended management team to take a structured approach to achieving the new targets. He will be assisted by Dr. Peter Schittenhelm (COO), Dr. Markus Czanta (CTO), Stéphane Bussa (CSO), and Heiko Brehm (CFO).
Physik Instrumente employs more than 1,300 people all over the world and is represented at 15 locations in Europe, North America, and Asia. The company is a market and technology leader for high-precision positioning in high-tech business sectors such as life sciences, semiconductor manufacturing, photonics, and industrial automation. PI occupies third place in the Handelsblatt's Top 100 Ranking of SMEs 2019.
