January 7, 2014 - PI (PROFIBUS & PROFINET International) intro0duces its PROFINEWS App. PROFINEWS NA, the newsletter of PI North America, has been available for years in HTML version. Starting now, it will also be available as an App. The PROFINEWS App can be downloaded free of charge for iOS and Android devices from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (respectively). Users can access the PROFINEWS App on smart phones and tablets.
With the PROFINEWS App, users will receive up-to-date information about PI and its technologies directly on their devices anytime, anywhere in the world. Thanks to intuitive navigation and fast download times, readers can always catch up on the latest news quickly. Articles of interest can be shared directly with colleagues. In Tech Tips, readers will receive practical advice on the use of PI technologies from selected PI experts. Engaging content like news, opinion, and case study articles will appear constantly.
The PROFINEWS App will become an indispensable information medium for the PI community. Members worldwide can publish product and company news in the PROFINEWS App quickly, and easily reach a global audience with a single mouse click.
About PI North America
PI North America is a non-profit, member-supported automation organization for fieldbus and Industrial Ethernet, specifically PROFIBUS and PROFINET. It is dedicated to supporting the discrete and process industries in achieving beneficial results using these networks. PI North America also assists device manufacturers in the development and marketing of PROFIBUS and PROFINET products. It is one of 27 regional associations that make up the global PI community.
