PPT Vision Announces MX20 Processor
The MX20 processor features an Intel dual-core processor and two independent PoE (Power over Ethernet) camera ports and works at distances up to 100m from the processor to the camera.

May 17, 2012 - PPT Vision introduced the compact, entry-level MX20 vision processor to support simple machine vision applications with up to two unique camera inspections. The MX20 offers a cost-effective means to migrate from smart-camera applications to an embedded vision system.

The MX20 processor features an Intel dual-core processor and two independent PoE (Power over Ethernet) camera ports and is capable of distances up to 100m from the processor to the camera. The MX20 is easy to deploy, supporting up to two 2.0 Megapixel area scan cameras for a wide range of flexible, robust inspection tasks.

Impact 10.5 Software

The just-released Impact Version 10.5 software supports the MX20 processor. as well as added improvements in the tool set-ups for the “point to point” and “point to line” measurement tools, according to Monteith. “Feature and product locating are now faster with the blob tool’s improved overlay refresh rates and the ability to report 360-degree blob orientation,” he added. PPT Vision, a Datalogic brand, develops and markets expert machine vision solutions for global markets, including automotive, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, electronics and general manufacturing operations.
