October 23, 2012 - Progea and KEBA developed an interface kit to allow Movicon to manage various hardware devices onboard mobile interface panels produced by KEBA. KEBA makes Mobile Operator Panels, equipped with hardware devices such as joysticks, hand wheels, pushbuttons and LED functions.
Movicon is already running as HMI software in KEBA WinCE embedded devices, but the new interface is a result of joint work between the two companies, allowing integrators to visualize electronics aboard the mobile panel and handle project variables in read-write, facilitating project designer work and expanding Movicon project integration capacity and potentiality aboard the device.
The Movicon SCADA/HMI software integrates perfectly with the handheld KEBA operator panels enhancing the users interface and visibility. The panel’s interface has been designed to run as a service at project startup and runs in background to provide all information on embedded devices involving freely definable project variables. Tests were run on the new KeTop mobile range where the application uses the Movicon Shared Memory driver for exchanging data with the project and uses the native Keba libraries for dialoging with the device.
