July 20, 2016 — Progea USA announced the release of Movicon.NExT Version. 3.0.
Based on Automation Platform.NExT, the Movicon.NExT 3.0 release is an open and scalable SCADA/HMI product.
Development efforts for the 3.0 release focused on providing features and functionality that supports innovative technology and usability to ensure superior quality. Performance, quality and usability feedback was collected, analyzed and put into action for the release. Here are a few of the key new features for Movicon.NExT.
- iOS and Android apps for web client access using smartphones and tablets.
- New report designer.
- Recipe management enhancement to include remote activation.
- Function block diagram feature.
Movicon.NExT is based on the Automation Platform.NExT technology, a software architecture designed for building the foundations of modern automation software. It is an open and scalable platform based on .NET, connectivity software and the new generation of WPF/XAML vector graphics rendering software.
NExT is structured on modular concepts with plug-in technology to make industrial software architecture more open and scalable by integrating function modules that are capable of connecting and managing any business enterprise. The modular and open platform will empower automation professionals with a solution for supervision, HMI, control, Historian, MES and analysis.
