Effective September 30, 2004 ProSoft Technology, Inc. has acquired the industrial radio product line of Locus Inc.

Bakersfield, California, October 4, 2004ProSoft Technology, Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of the the industrial radio product line of Locus Inc. effective September 30, 2004. With this acquisition and its existing strong product base in the industrial communications marketplace, ProSoft Technology is excited to be able to participate in the explosive growth in demand for wireless solutions in the years ahead.ProSoft Technology has branded and sold the Locus industrial radio solutions as the RadioLinx product line for the past three (3) years.

With the acquisition, ProSoft Technology is not only able to continue growing this exciting product line, but is also now able to invest in expanding its wireless technology product offerings to meet more of its customer’s needs. “We are extremely excited about the growth avenues that will now be available to us with the acquisition of Locus’ industrial radio product line,” said Douglas Sharratt, President of ProSoft Technology, Inc. Along with the existing Locus/RadioLinx products, ProSoft Technology will be looking to aggressively leverage future wireless development efforts into our in-chassis PLC communication product lines and our stand-alone communication gateways.

The stand-alone ProLinx communication gateways will be available through the existing Rep Channel, while the inRAx and ProTalk wireless products will continue to be sold through their respective distribution channel. “Watch for an explosive launch of products in the coming year as we leverage off the strong RF design capabilities of the Locus team,” states Sharratt.
