BAKERSFIELD, Calif., April 26, 2005 - Now you can connect various field devices using different networks or protocols and share data between these devices “over the air” with ProSoft Technology’s new ProLinx Plus Wireless Gateways. These radio gateways can convert to and from hardwire devices on DF1, Modbus, Modbus TCP/IP, ASCII and PROFIBUS networks to wireless EtherNet/IP or Modbus TCP/IP.
The wireless messages can then be transmitted to any 802.11b radio connected to an EtherNet/IP or Modbus TCP/IP.The ProLinx Plus Gateways utilize a full function 802.11b wireless network card, supporting RF data rates up to 11 Mbps.
