May 20, 2020 - Prosys OPC announced that it has been accepted as a member of Open Industry 4.0 Alliance. The idea of membership originates from discussions with our customers, who use OPC UA products and professional services. At the Hannover Messe 2019, 13 companies came up with the idea of founding an implementation alliance for Industry 4.0.

The Open Industry 4.0 Alliance, which was launched at that time, currently has 55 members. In the meantime, four working groups have come together to develop concrete use cases for each of the industry segments and technologies. Since Prosys OPC has already been active in developing new IIoT and Industry 4.0 solutions, a common vision for future development was easy to establish.

By joining the alliance, manufacturers and providers of Industry 4.0 solutions and services worldwide can collectively help their customers to transition to the industrial internet of things successfully. Thanks to new synergies, Open Industry 4.0 Alliance members master Industry 4.0 – and enable operators to take the business to the next level.

Prosys OPC is also a long-term and active member of the OPC Foundation. Membership in Open Industry 4.0 Alliance is complementary to that, and these organizations have many common members. Prosys OPC will continue to specialize in OPC UA technology, yet in future provide products following a common framework developed by the alliance, and also delivering extensive Industry 4.0 solutions.
