PULS announces acquisition of Etasyn
After the acquisition of Etasyn, the PULS group will be able to provide standard devices for DIN rails, modified standard devices as well as products that are completely custom-designed.

August 8, 2017 - Last week, PULS announced the acquisition of Etasyn with retroactive effect as of 1 January 2017 and against payment of a double-digit million euro purchase price.

In the long-term planning, the hope is that PULS Vario unit shall achieve a sales volume of 100 million euros (by 2030). To that end, the company intends to offer not only customer-specific power supplies, but also power system solutions. For the current financial year, PULS founder Berhard Erdl has set a sales target of more than 150 million euros for the entire group. By 2020, the hope is that turnover shall reach the 200 million euro mark.

PULS had participated at the beginning of last year in a bidding process for another German manufacturer of customized power solutions, but backed out at a later stage. After the acquisition of Etasyn, the PULS group will be able to provide standard devices for DIN rails, modified standard devices as well as products that are completely custom-designed.

The possibility that PULS will offer its technology also in other construction designs besides DIN rail mounting might play important role concerning these plans. In a first step, about 20 employees will be in charge of realizing customer-specific solutions within the PULS group. Due to this acquisition (75 persons) the number of employees of the PULS group reaches more than 1,000. Approximately 250 of them are employed in Germany, 450 in the Czech Republic, theremaining work in China and the different sales branches.
