Fenwick will be responsible for product reliability, customer satisfaction and quality business practices.

December 9, 2008 – Quantum3D announced that Richard Fenwick has joined the company to lead a newly formed organization focused exclusively on quality. The twenty-seven-year engineering and product veteran will report directly to Quantum3D chairman and CEO Michael D’Addio and direct a consolidated organization of engineering and operations personnel who previously worked in other divisions of the company. Mr. Fenwick will be responsible for product reliability, customer satisfaction and quality business practices. Mr.

Fenwick brings nearly three decades of engineering, research and development (R&D), and product quality experience to Quantum3D. In the 1980s, while working for Electrospace Systems, Inc., he managed a team of 50 engineers in the software development of TEMPEST and Secure Voice digital PBX systems, personally overseeing the design and installation of the “red phone” in the presidential Oval Office. He subsequently joined OnCommand Corporation, where he served as senior vice president of R&D/Engineering as the company grew from $1.5 million to $250 million in annual revenues.

He led an organization of 110 engineers and 250 service personnel in 22 countries. Since his departure from OnCommand in 2001, Mr. Fenwick has led engineering teams in the solar electricity and home entertainment markets, including his most recent venture, FUZE Media Systems, which revolutionized the home entertainment experience. Mr. Fenwick’s appointment is a continuation of the heightened mission that Quantum3D has placed on product quality since the April 2008 arrival of Michael D’Addio.

Since that time, the company has reorganized its engineering and operations departments, implemented new manufacturing procedures and nearly completed the ISO 9001 certification process. Mr. Fenwick’s experience leading product-development, engineering and quality teams will inspire high confidence among governments, regulatory organizations and consumers because world-class standards will be applied across all businesses.Michael D’Addio said, “Richard is the perfect man for this job. His proven track record will guarantee that Quantum3D delivers the industry’s best-performing, highest-quality and most reliable real-time visual computing solutions.

While certification processes are important, we’re bringing aboard a proven executive who is ideally suited to ensuring that Quantum3D’s products are of unsurpassed quality. As the company’s CEO, this is the message that I want to send to the market: Our entire organization is committed to delivering top-quality products, every time, all the time.”Richard Fenwick started with the organization on December 8, 2008. He holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University.

He was trained for TEMPEST for Equipment Design by the U.S. Air Force and he has held a Top Secret Security Clearance with Special Background Investigation, COMSEC.
