January 31, 2014 - RACO Manufacturing and Engineering updated AlarmAgent.com to provide real-time reporting, allowing users to access the status of all channels in real time. The RTU health report indicates how long the system has been armed in days, hours and minutes. Signal strength, power and battery status are key indicators of an RTU system’s health and local conditions; users receive the information in one comprehensive, over-the-air report. Additional real-time features include a user-friendly M2M output, a method to react locally to alarms as they occur.
RTUs are now capable of programming local relays to react based on unacknowledged alarms; they also allow users to control other connected machines at the local site. AlarmAgent.com also features over-the-air firmware updates, which allows users the freedom to update their RTUs remotely.
