November 6, 2012 - Raytek makes its online tool for calculating measurement spots available as an app for smartphones. With this app, customers can easily determine measurement conditions for Raytek’s infrared sensors on their smartphone by simply selecting the sensor from a list, choosing the unit of measurement (mm or inch), and entering the distance between the sensor and the measured object.The app calculates the spot size at the given distance.
The English-language tool is simple and intuitive to use. The basic principles are illustrated graphically. Additionally, the Raytek app contains information about the manufacturer as well as product data and areas of application. By scanning the QR code with a smartphone, users can log on to the website and install the app on the device. All operations are carried out locally on the smartphone; a permanent internet connection is not necessary.
