July 10, 2011 - Remote Process Alarms released a smartphone app for BlackBerry cell phones. Watch*IT OPC enables alarm and event management for many applications ranging from a single machine to an entire SCADA or HVAC system.
The free Blackberry app allows users access to a wide array of information displayed on their phone. Even though Watch*IT OPC already sends text messages, Tweets, and emails - the BlackBerry app gives users a way to interact with the events and process values on the shop floor using their cell phone. While Watch*IT OPC is an excellent fit with automation systems, its efficacy is not limited to them. Virtually anything that can create OPC data can be monitored by Watch*IT OPC.
