The "tres" active tag line is specifically designed for personnel identification and tracking, asset identification and tracking, or any factory floor application requiring read ranges of 2' or more.

March 7, 2011 - RFID, Inc. announces its new "tres" (Transponder & Receiver Engineered Services) 433.92 MHz Active Tag product line. Success of initial beta installs include vehicle security at Daytona International Airport through ADT Security, asset protection at Microsoft, trucks on scale applications and the tracking of miners underground.

This product line has several advantages:

1. Replaceable Tag battery. 2. Automatic range tuning feature either by software command or mechanical switch. 3.

Low battery LED on Tag and low battery alarm sent to Reader. 4. FCC approved. 5.

Hundreds of Tags able to be read simultaneously by a single Reader. 6. 3' to 600' plus read ranges. 7.

Other amenities by the Reader include loop detection, relay drivers, outputs of Wiegand, Serial, USB, and Ethernet. 8. Hand held Reader with "Find a Tag" mode. 9.

Antenna internal to the Reader, etched into PCB. 10. Relative signal strength (RSSI) from Tag to Reader.

Future enhancements will include:

1. Reader outputs in all PLC protocols. 2. Tamper proof Tags. 3.

Tags programmable through RF.

This new line of products is specifically designed for:

1. Vehicle identification. 2. Gated entry. 3.

Identifying trucks on scales. 4. Personnel identification and tracking. 5.

Asset identification and tracking. 6. Any factory floor application requiring read ranges of 2' or more.
