Company recognized for efforts to protect global supply chain from terrorist acts

MILWAUKEE, June 1, 2004 - Rockwell Automation today announced that it has become a certified member of the U.S. Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program.

C-TPAT, a voluntary government-business partnership introduced by the U.S Customs Service in 2002, was developed to encourage all air, rail and sea importers to take an active role in promoting and ensuring the integrity of supply chain and border security." As a global business, we are proud to do our part in the war against terrorism," said Keith D. Nosbusch, chief executive officer, Rockwell Automation.

"Through our commitment to C-TPAT, the first worldwide supply chain security initiative, we can help promote a more secure supply chain for our employees, suppliers and customers." According to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency, nearly 5,300 U.S.

-based organizations currently participate in the C-TPAT program, including 3,300 importers, 800 carriers and 1,100 brokers and freight forwarders.
