November 24, 2015 - Rockwell Automation offers a free Batch Application Toolkit that contains a collection of application examples, videos, documentation and ISA-88 compliant sample code to provide technical guidance when designing and automating a batch system using Rockwell Automation systems.

“Designing and implementing a batch process system is time- and cost-intensive,” said Jason Wright, PlantPAx system marketing manager, Rockwell Automation. “The batch application toolkit gives engineers a starting point to build, implement and maintain a consistent system, dramatically reducing the time and cost associated with designing a system from scratch. It also provides users with flexibility to customize system elements for increased functionality.” For conceptual guidance and learning, the batch application toolkit includes three common batch unit examples – mixer, premix and slurry – along with raw-material and storage-vessel models.

The toolkit from Rockwell Automation expands the company’s existing portfolio of batch solutions, including the PlantPAx process automation system and FactoryTalk Batch software, for systems that range from small, basic sequencing to large, complex batch and sequencing applications.
