New Allen-Bradley InView™ options give users higher visibility, increased communication flexibility, better messaging and simplified display management
MILWAUKEE, Sept. 4, 2003 — Quickly and efficiently delivering information within a plant environment can be a strategic advantage in today’s competitive manufacturing industry. New options added to the Allen-Bradley InView™ message display family now enable manufacturers to transmit a larger amount of information to a greater number of employees more efficiently. The new InView P9x large message display provides greater visibility of information from distances up to 450 feet away, while new InView Messaging Software synchronizes and streamlines information from multiple sources.

Available in 36-inch or 72-inch display lengths, the InView P9x provides a versatile means for transmitting critical plant floor information to large, disparate groups. The InView P9x is designed to support two networks simultaneously, allowing programmers to change messages or tie into an information database, while control operators can continue delivering alarms and messages to the plant floor. In the past, if two different network groups wanted to connect to a message display, they would require two separate displays.Additionally, the InView P9x addresses the issue of increased network traffic often caused by multiple node addresses and high consumption of communication bandwidth.
The display’s design enables users to daisy chain numerous InView displays off an InView P9x via a NetLinx communications network. Managing and updating message displays can be cumbersome and time-consuming if a facility’s information is transmitted to a display through more than one network in a system. InView Messaging Software simplifies message display management by providing functionality across multiple networks, enabling users to download their message files to operators in different plant floor locations. With the array of network communication options available with InView Message Displays, users only need to set up notification systems on one platform.
