July 11, 2008 - EL-2-12BIT is an easy to use display and logger module capable of measuring, recording and displaying temperature (using a Pt 100 sensor), voltage or current. With 12-bit A/D resolution, memory for 8000 readings, and a battery life of up to 3 years, EL-2-12BIT is ideal for a wide range of logging tasks. EL-2-12BIT has a replaceable 3.6V 1/2AA Lithium battery, but it may also be externally powered, allowing it to be left permanently connected in a system, for instance. EL-2-12BIT's serial link is addressable, and up to 8 loggers can be connected to one PC serial port (or USB port with optional adapter).
The intuitive, free Windows software supplied allows non-volatile- stored data to be output in text format that can be easily integrated into most popular spreadsheets, or displayed in a graphical format. EL-2-12BIT's built-in 3½ digit LCD display allows real-time observation of readings. A switch input allows the unit to be set for one-shot or start-and-run logging. Voltage logging can have a maximum range set at 200mV/2V/20V, while current logging is designed for 4- 20mA sources. Temperature logging can be -200 to +200°C in low range or -200 to +850°C in the high range.
Easy to install and use, the control software runs under Windows 2000, XP and Vista. It provides an environment whereby the user can view the current reading and graph either the current data file or previously saved files.
