November 1, 2019 - ScaleMatrix, a colocation and cloud services provider, has spun out a company, DDC, to provide scalable datacenter-to-edge solutions based on its Dynamic Density Control (DDC) cabinet technology (the ‘secret sauce’ behind the ScaleMatrix colocation and cloud offerings). The DDC cabinet technology is a closed loop liquid-air hybrid cooling system which works to provide environmental conditions and energy efficiency, along with biometric security and rapid-deployment capabilities, for the computing hardware needed to support computing workloads.
Earlier this year ScaleMatrix acquired Instant Data Centers (IDC), formerly Elliptical Mobile Solutions, an Arizona based company focused on providing micro data centers for the Edge. The company has since merged IDC into DDC to offer a line up of cabinet technology in the world, ranging from modular platform-scale solutions to micro-cabinets which can go virtually anywhere.
