Schneeberger's New Linear Guide Modules Offer Low Height And Extra Wide Guide Rails

1 min read

Bedford, MA, January 22, 2004--Schneeberger, Inc.- announced a new linear guide module that offers a “Build Your Own Monorail“ concept. Offering very low overall carriage and rail height as well as wide guide rails, the concept for the guide module is based on the pre-existing Schneeberger MRB Roller Carriage. The dimensions of the guide modules are fixed, but the rails can be manufactured to customer specification. Made of through-hardened steel, the carriage body uses rollers for heavy load carrying.

The end plates of the carriage are milled out of aluminium and contain cross wipers from the standard MONORAIL MR range. Complete sealing is achieved by the longitudinal wipers being integrated into the roller recirculation unit and on both ends by cross wipers. The lubrication of the modules can be connected from above on either side.. Fixing holes for the through-hardened guide rails can also be customized.

Used in many applications including machine tool, and systems engineering, the MRFE Linear Guide is available in sizes MRFE 25, 35, 45, 55 and 65 with an accuracy class of G1. Carriage height ranges from 21 to 51mm and rail heights of 20 to 50mm are possible. Rail types S (narrow rail) and B (wide rail) are available with a maximum width of 150mm and maximum lengths up to 2000mm. Static load capacities range from 35,150N to 265,000N. Dynamic load capacities range from 19,550N to 147,500N.

Schneeberger Inc., one of four subsidiaries of W. Schneeberger AG, headquartered in Switzerland, markets precision linear motion components and systems for demanding applications. Products include ball and cross-roller bearings, miniature slides and rails, profile guides, automated linear and rotary modules, multi-axis positioning systems, and precision ball screws.
