Students across the U.S. can apply for $3,000 scholarships for eligible technical education and training programs supporting careers in buildings, energy, and critical infrastructure.

Schneider Electric, a global energy technology leader, and SKILLED Nation, an organization that expands access to education and training for high-demand skilled careers, are inviting students across the United States to apply for $3,000 scholarships through the Schneider Electric SKILLED Scholarship Program.

The deadline to apply is Tuesday, Nov. 10. To apply, visit https://skilled-nation.org/partner/sescholarship.

As investment in electrification, building modernization and critical infrastructure accelerates across the U.S., developing the skilled workforce needed to support these industries has become an increasingly important priority for America’s energy future. To help address this challenge, Schneider Electric and SKILLED Nation are announcing an additional $100,000 in scholarships for technical education and training nationwide.

Now in its fourth year, the Schneider Electric SKILLED Scholarship Program has received more than $300,000 in funding from Schneider Electric to help students pursue technical careers across America’s buildings, energy systems and critical infrastructure. The scholarships help fund postsecondary education and training that can lead to careers in building automation, energy management, HVAC, electrical systems, facilities engineering and maintenance, green building and sustainability, security and related technical fields.

“For us, the real measure of this program is where it can take students,” said Alvin Townley, Founding Executive Director of SKILLED Nation. “These scholarships help students pay for the training to gain practical skills for careers installing, operating and maintaining the systems that power our buildings, energy infrastructure and communities.”

Developing technical talent for energy and infrastructure

As buildings and energy infrastructure become more electrified, connected and intelligent, developing specialized technical skills is essential to helping customers realize the full value of modernization.

“The future of American energy infrastructure will be defined as much by the talent behind it as the technology powering it,” said Chris Collins, Senior Vice President, Secure Power, North America, Schneider Electric. “At Schneider Electric, we see workforce development as a strategic investment in our customers’ competitiveness, our nation’s energy resilience and the next generation of American industry. Our partnership with SKILLED Nation helps students access the technical education and training to build that future.”

Building on 190 years of innovation globally and more than 135 years of operations in the U.S., Schneider Electric is investing in the technology and talent essential to modernizing energy infrastructure. Since 2009, Schneider Electric has trained more than 1 million young people across more than 60 countries, helping them build practical skills in energy management. Through its Impact 2030 sustainability ambition, the company aims to equip more than 3 million young people with skills in electrification and sustainability. The SKILLED Nation partnership extends that global commitment in the U.S., creating pathways to technical careers that will help shape the future of American industry.

Launched in 2022 with scholarships in New York and New Jersey, Schneider Electric’s partnership with SKILLED Nation later expanded to Boston, Dallas and other communities. The scholarships are open to qualifying students nationwide. Schneider Electric employees, their spouses and their dependents are not eligible to apply.

SKILLED Nation partners with corporations, foundations and philanthropic leaders to expand access to education and training for high-demand skilled careers. Through scholarship programs and workforce partnerships, SKILLED Nation helps individuals pursue skills and credentials that increase economic mobility while helping employers build the skilled workforce they need.
