July 13, 2009 ― SeaSolve Software announced manufacturing test software for ZigBee products based on Ember’s ZigBee Chipsets which include the EM351 System-on-Chip (SoC), EM357 SoC, EM250 SoC and the EM260 Network Co-Processor.The tester takes not more than 2-3 seconds to perform all the RF tests, which includes various Transmitter and Receiver tests and giving out detailed tests reports.
The solution is capable of testing up to 4 DUTs in parallel.By using SeaSolve's ZigBee Manufacturing test solution and leveraging its parallel architecture, clients developing products with Ember's 802.15.4 chipsets can fulfill their test requirements with complete test automation while reducing the required number of test systems. The ZigBee Manufacturing test solution integrates seamlessly with National Instruments RF hardware and is optimized for products based on Ember ZigBee DUT. The ‘test modes’ are used to control the DUT through the software itself while running transmitter and receiver tests sequentially. This form of test automation (for the RF tests) eliminates the need for manual operator intervention during the tests, thus saving cost and time.The solution supplies all key measurements required for manufacturing testing and has the flexibility to add tests as the client demands.

Reported results are stored automatically into an integrated database from within the solution.Since the solution is based on the high-performance PXI Express system from National instruments, users gain the additional benefits of high-speed testing, ease of programming, reliability, and support for multiple formats, including WiMAX and WLAN. The software leverages a customizable and parallel model in LabVIEW and TestStand which enables the testing of multiple DUTs independently.
