Dec. 4, 2024 - Servotecnica has announced the release of its SVTM Series, a new range of mechatronic joints ideal for demanding robotic applications. SVTM Joints are compact and precise actuator units with an integrated high resolution absolute encoder, brushless motor, hollow shaft, and zero backlash gearbox. SVTM units are initially available in two size options as standard: 118mm and 153mm, with options for customization. The brushless motor provides efficient and smooth motion, while the absolute encoder ensures accurate position feedback.
The hollow shaft allows for wiring or component integration through the joint, like the SVTS A series of slip ring. The zero-backlash gearbox eliminates mechanical play, resulting in highly accurate and repeatable movement, ideal for robotics applications requiring high precision and minimal latency. “We have been developing custom versions of SVTM joints for high-spec robotics applications for a number of years,” said Fabio Bistoletti, CEO of Servotecnica . “We are pleased to now make this offering available to a wider audience as a standard product, while continuing to offer a wide range of customization options.” Servotecnica designs and develops compact and high reliability slip rings, micromotors and custom integrated solutions for mission critical applications.
