June 4, 2015 – SICK announced explosion-proof safety light curtains to meet safety regulations for explosive environments.
The explosion-proof enclosure has been developed for three different safety light curtains (deTec4 Core, C4000 Select, or C4000 Advanced) with different protective field heights to safeguard a variety of applications, including paint booths, granaries, chemical processing, and many others. The explosion-proof safety light curtains are available in protective field heights of 600 mm, 900 mm, and 1200 mm. The deTec4 Core version is also available in a protective field height of 1500 mm.
The explosion-proof safety light curtains feature a durable design with flexible adjusent. Safety light curtains are pre-mounted and prewired into the enclosure for easy installation and alignment. The enclosure also features IP 66 enclosure rating that protects the safety light curtain from water and dust. In addition, the explosion-proof safety light curtains have been tested and are UL listed, ensuring a safety solution that meets safety and regulatory standards.
