August 20, 2009 – SICK announced its IDM140 Hand-held Scanner. The IDM140 is a high-performance, lightweight scanner that reads all common 1D bar codes. Its competitive price and compact design make it ideal for non-industrial, general-purpose applications within office, factory and, warehouse and logistics environments. As an addition to SICK’s existing line of hand-held scanners, the IDM140 offers users an easy-to-use, ergonomically designed scanner for everyday use. The IDM140 reliably reads poorly printed or damaged codes, eliminating the need to manually input data.

Plus, the IDM140 supports multiple interfaces, including USB, PS/2 and RS232 TTL, within a single scanner.
