The IVC-2D, from SICK is a high performance smart camera ideal for a variety of inspection and quality control applications. This innovative camera can be used for foil blister pack inspection of pills to verify content, for automated food packaging to ensure product quality, inspection and verification of molded parts, and many more. The camera is programmed via a graphical interface (IVC Studio). Once configured, the camera can work in stand-alone mode, without the need for a PC. The IVC-2D is easy to integrate with external devices, such as light-and trigger sources due to the standard I/Os that are plug and play compatible with SICK sensors, and camera accessories.

For more complex applications, the camera can also send data, such as object coordinates or images of faulty objects over RS485 or Ethernet. The IVC-2D offers a protection class as high as IP 65, when using the optional lens hood.
