APOGEE Insight and TALON View 3.10 workstation platforms achieved the BTL Mark from BACnet International.

November 4, 2009 – APOGEE Insight and TALON View 3.10 workstation platforms from the Building Technologies Division of Siemens Industry achieved the BTL mark. According to the BACnet International and its BACnet Testing Laboratories (BTL), "The BTL mark is a symbol that indicates to a consumer that a product has passed a series of rigorous tests conducted by an independent laboratory which verifies that the product correctly implements the BACnet features claimed in the listing.” “We are extremely pleased to announce that APOGEE Insight and TALON View workstation software has attained BTL listing as a BACnet Operator Workstation,” said Chris Hollinger, senior product manager for Siemens Building Technologies.

“BTL has tested and certified controllers for several years, but only recently added workstation software to the list of products it would test and approve. We’re thrilled that Siemens is among the first manufacturers to offer a complete BTL-listed system, including controllers and workstation software.”As industry professionals acknowledge, the listing assures users that Siemens workstation software and controllers have been thoroughly and independently tested and verified under strict BTL interoperability guidelines. For customers, that means upon implementation, there is no doubt Siemens is providing a fully-interoperable, standard-protocol solution to meet today’s high performance building automation needs.
