ARIA (Automated Robotic Industrial Assistant)
Labor constraints, productivity demands and quality challenges can make it difficult to keep production moving. Automating those processes shouldn't create another layer of complexity.
ARIA (Automated Robotic Industrial Assistant) from Mitsubishi Electric US, Industrial Automation is a configurable robotic automation solution designed to make it easier to introduce automation across a wide range of industries and applications. It can operate as a stand-alone system or integrate into an existing automation cell, giving manufacturers flexibility in how and where they automate.
Key Benefits
One platform. Many automation opportunities.
Automation needs can vary widely from one operation to another. ARIA's configurable design allows the solution to be tailored around the application rather than forcing the application into a one-size-fits-all approach.
Simplify robot programming
ARIA offers several programming options to accommodate different levels of robotics experience. Users can select pre-programmed software templates or program through an HMI, R86 Teach Pendant, or RT ToolBox3 with RT VisualBox. That flexibility can make robotic automation more approachable for operations with varying levels of in-house programming expertise.
Connect with your existing operation
ARIA provides Ethernet connectivity along with discrete I/O connectivity over CC-Link IE Field Basic, EtherNet/IP, PROFIBUS or ANYWIRE ASLINK. This gives manufacturers multiple ways to connect the robotic solution with their automation environment.
Automation without giving up valuable floor space
ARIA's compact base is designed for use in confined spaces and houses critical automation components, including the CR800 controller, FX5 PLC, HMI, power supply, and air regulation. Depending on the application, ARIA can also be configured with different Mitsubishi Electric robot options.
From machine tending and material handling to assembly, packaging and other repetitive processes, ARIA gives manufacturers a configurable path for putting robotic automation to work where it can make an impact.
Why Engineers Choose ARIA
ARIA takes much of the guesswork out of deploying robotic automation by bringing key control components, flexible connectivity, and multiple programming options into a configurable, compact platform. Engineers can tailor the system to the application, integrate it as a stand-alone solution or within an existing automation cell, and choose programming methods based on their team's experience. The result is a flexible approach to automation that can serve a variety of production needs.
