Adding EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, BACnet/IP, MQTT, PROFINET and OPC UA protocols to your product will no longer require a long or complicated product redesign. Thanks to the RTConnect module’s proven PHY, integration is simplified. The technical burdens of incorporating Ethernet-based communication protocols into your device’s application is significantly reduced. Any existing device with a serial port can now add your protocols with a simple printed circuit board (PCB) alteration.
How does the module work?
Simply supply the module with 3.3VDC and route your existing serial interface to it. The module can be configured to interface with your device over Modbus RTU or ASCII commands: you don’t have to change any application code. The module maps data to and from your device for presentation on EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, BACnet/IP, MQTT, PROFINET and OPC UA networks.
