June 30, 2009 - Dieter Hess and Manfred Werner founded the independent software company 3S-Smart Software Solutions in July 1994 and at the same time released version 1.0 of the IEC 61131-3 automation software CoDeSys. Today, 15 years later, CoDeSys is available in seven languages and the leading manufacturer independent PLC programming system worldwide. The third extension of the company building was completed in May 2009 and offers new office space for the meanwhile 70 employees.
After the first 15 successful business years, Dieter Hess and Manfred Werner, the founders and CEOs of 3S-Smart Software Solutions, will continue to concentrate on their core competency: “With CoDeSys V3 we have reinvented our programming tool and have created a solid basis for the next 15 years.”
