Softing enhances PROFIBUS Diagnostic Suite
With a single mouse click a user is able to initiate a full analysis of a PROFIBUS network including electrical signal and protocol analysis.

December 15, 2010 - All Softing diagnostic tools are part of the "bus-check" product family. Currently, the "bus-check" product portfolio for PROFIBUS includes:

  • PROFIBUS Tester 4 "All in one"
  • PROFIBUS Tester 3 (PB-T3)(PROFIBUS electrical tester)
  • PROFIBUS Inspektor (continuous bus monitoring)
  • PROFIBUS Protocol Analyzer for DP+PA

PROFIBUS Diagnostic Suite includes support for all of Softing’s diagnostic products listed above. The advantage of this single software approach is that a user is not required to learn different user interface aspects and operating philosophies. The software package has been redesigned from scratch to improve the all-important ease-of-use aspect of the software while at the same time preserving the more in-depth diagnostic features required by networking experts. One powerful new feature of the software is its “Quick-Test” button. With a single mouse click a user is able to initiate a full analysis of a PROFIBUS network including electrical signal and protocol analysis.

A summary of all results is displayed to the user in a very intuitive manner. Critical conditions on the network are color-coded and a user has quick access to additional information. This software update is free-of-charge and does not require any software license.
