NEWBURYPORT, MA November 15, 2007 - Softing, announced the FG-100 FF Asset Fieldbus gateway that allows users to link existing H1 networks with their Asset Management System. Softing’s FG-100 FF Asset gateway supports non-interfering access to field devices connected to H1 networks via the FOUNDATION fieldbus High Speed Ethernet (HSE) protocol. The FG-100 FF Asset acts as a “visitor” to H1 segments and, in this role, does not interfere with the running H1 process control system.The HSE protocol is based on TCP/IP and runs simultaneously to other protocols over Ethernet, thus, enabling remote access to H1 networks. A corresponding FOUNDATION fieldbus CommDTM allows for easy integration into FDT frame applications and compatible asset management systems.
Alternatively, an OPC Server for HSE is available as well.
