March 9, 2016 - Softing releases dataFEED version 4.10 OPC Suite software that includes OPC UA Client functionality and the ability to act as a central gateway between several OPC UA Servers and Clients.
The OPC UA Client functionality can be used in a variety of OPC UA gateway applications. For example, it becomes very easy to integrate controllers with built-in OPC UA Server capabilities such as controllers from B & R and Beckhoff or the RFID Reader from Harting into existing OPC Classic environments.
The dataFEED OPC Suite V4.10 is ideally suited for a step-by-step implementation of an Industrial Internet-of-Things (IIoT) systems architecture. In addition, the software represents a cost-effective approach to connect legacy devices that have OPC Classic into new IIoT systems.
As an additional benefit, the new OPC UA Client functionality allows the dataFEED OPC Suite to act as a central gateway between several OPC UA Servers and Clients.
