Delivers TOP Server event log data today, and sets the stage for full alarm and event data in coming months
Enables developers to leverage TOP Server, powered by Kepware, as an OPC Server and native HMI/SCADA interface toolkit without needing to learn the intricacies of OPC Servers, native interfaces or custom toolkits In addition to new features, TOP Server Version 5.1 delivers enhancements to the following drivers: GE Ethernet Global Data, GE SRTP, GE SNP, GE SNPX, GE Focas 1, Mitsubishi Ethernet, Modbus ASCII, Modbus Ethernet, Modbus Plus, Modbus RTU, Modbus RTU Unsolicited, Siemens S7 MPI, Siemens S5 (3964R Protocol), SIMATIC 505 Ethernet, SIMATIC 505 Serial, Industrial SNMP, Triconex Ethernet, User Configurable (UCON), and Yokogawa DX Ethernet."
The new CID interface driver included in TOP Server 5.1 makes the integration of existing custom driver code and specialized applications with automation client products possible like never before," said John Weber, president of Software Toolbox, Inc.
"Through the use of very simple interfaces to an already proven technology, user cost and integration risk are significantly lowered when compared to writing complete custom OPC and native HMI/SCADA interface applications."
