Specim has announced the Specim FX19, a high-speed push-broom (line-scan) hyperspectral camera operating in the near/shortwave infrared range of 1130–1920 nm.

OULU, Finland, Feb. 10, 2026 — Specim, a Konica Minolta company and global leader in hyperspectral imaging, has announced the Specim FX19, a high-speed push-broom (line-scan) hyperspectral camera operating in the near/shortwave infrared range of 1130–1920 nm.

The FX19 expands the industry-proven Specim FX series, designed for fast time-to-market and scalable deployment in industrial machine vision systems, while also supporting advanced research applications.

The Specim FX19 delivers market-leading 640-pixel spatial resolution, high sensitivity, and fast frame rates in a compact design, making it ideal for precise, high-throughput material identification in industrial environments.

Equipped with a TE-cooled low-noise InGaAs sensor, advanced image correction, and unified spectral calibration, the Specim FX19 provides consistent, reliable, and repeatable results across units, critical for scalable multi-camera systems and OEM deployments.

Multiple ROI and binning options allow users to optimize data rate, frame speed, and sensitivity for specific application needs while maintaining stable performance in demanding inline inspection setups.

The Specim FX19 supports rapid, easy deployment into machine vision architectures via the standard GigE Vision interface, the Specim SDK, and APIs. With its compact, robust design, it fits easily into multi-camera modules, enclosures, and conveyor systems. A broad range of optics, including a macro lens, supports flexible installation and diverse working distances.

“The FX19 broadens the practical use of hyperspectral imaging from research to scalable industrial solutions. It unlocks new applications in recycling, electronics, thin films, and pharmaceuticals, while perfectly complementing our leading hyperspectral portfolio. FX19 delivers clear customer value by enabling higher throughput, improved material identification, and faster deployment of hyperspectral solutions,” says Sami Toljamo, CCO of Specim.

Key features and benefits of the Specim FX19:

  • 640 spatial pixels and frame rates up to 527 fps for detailed material analysis and high-throughput inspection.
  • Advanced image correction and unified spectral calibration for consistent performance across systems and scalable installations.
  • Easy integration with standard GigE Vision.
  • Global sales and technical support, with secured long-term product continuity from Specim and Konica Minolta.
