July 14, 2017 – Spirax Sarco announced the release of the Steam Jet Thermocompressors, energy saving devices that compresses low – pressure steam, often waste steam, to a higher acceptable pressure that can be utilized by additional applications.
This unit is simple in construction and consists of three fundamental components: motive steam nozzle, suction body, and a diffuser. This design mean it’s installable into a pipeline and enables overhead installations. A range of materials are available to suit process requirements to ensure operating efficiency including stainless steel, carbon steel, titanium, chrome, and molybdenum.
Steam Jet Thermocompressors have no moving or rotating parts. Minimal maintenance is required indicating the units can be installed in remote or inaccessible locations.
Steam Jet Thermocompressors comply with the requirements of ASME B31.3 mechanical design standards.
