DAYTON, OH –Stegmann Inc. introduces the SRS/M 25 heavy duty Sincos encoder. The SRS/M 25 features an IP66 protection rating and high bearing capacity, making it ideal for use in industrial applications. The SRS/M 25 is in a North American standard 2.5” heavy duty package, allowing the encoder to be coupled to any servomotor when the motor design cannot be modified to include internal encoder mounting.
Additionally, it can be used as an incremental or absolute encoder.Until the introduction of stand-alone encoders such as the SRS/M 25, machine builders and users with high-resolution encoders in their servomotors had to use different encoder types and interfaces on non-motor load axes. The introduction of the stand-alone encoder allows the use of a single interface, or at least a single encoder type, for all axes.
