December 18, 2012 - STICorp and SlimSoft, two of the largest and oldest GE Intelligent Platforms partners, will merge to develop industry vertical MES solutions.
Both companies see this as a required step to pursue the development of vertical industry solutions on the GE Intelligent Platforms Proficy software suite and for continued growth in the global economy where manufacturers face challenges around the world. One example of the synergies this merger will deliver is the combination of strong brewing expertise from STICorp and SlimSoft's deep expertise in providing packaging solutions.
An additional benefit of the proposed merger will be that the two companies bring together customer bases with practically zero overlap.
Over the coming months, during finalization of the merger, the companies will be working on launching a new company name and brand. In the interim, both companies will team to provide integrated solutions to customers as STI-SlimSoft.
