FREMONT, CA – Scientific Technologies, Inc. (STI) introduces the PA4600 Perimeter Access Guarding Device. This long-range, multi-beam (1-6 beams available) safeguarding control system is of a simple “two-box” design that requires no separate control box or cabling between the transmitter and receiver. It’s compact size (46 x 55 mm), combined with an operating range up to 70 m and response time as low as 16 ms, make the PA4600 ideal for safeguarding perimeter access into a hazardous area.Separate scan codes allow the installer to select unique scan frequencies that eliminate cross-talk with adjacent systems.

Diagnostics are streamlined with LED status indicators and two-digit numeric displays. 625 mA solid-state safety outputs provide for a wide range of interfacing options with industry standard safety relays. MPCE monitoring assures the control reliability of the PA4600 will be integrated into the control panel of the hazardous machine. With headquarters in the heart of Silicon Valley, STI was founded over 30 years ago and employs more than 330 people.

STI has been selected twice by Forbes and three times by Business Week as one of the “world’s best small companies.”

STI’s safety products are used to protect workers around machinery, automated equipment and industrial robots. For more information contact: Scientific Technologies Inc., 6550 Dumbarton Circle, Fremont, CA 94555;1-800-479-3658; (510) 608-3400; fax: (510) 744-1442; Fax Back System: (916) 431-6544; E-mail: [email protected] ; Web site: www.sti.com .
