April 08, 2010 – Technology Advancement introduced the Commander, a rugged, handheld, Ultra-Mobile PC (UMPC) device for adaptable field and in-vehicle operations. The Commander’s simple and easy-to-use interface, powerful yet low power consumption components, and wireless communications make the Commander an ideal solution for mining, drilling, landfill, construction, and precision agriculture applications. Commander features the cutting-edge Intel Atom processor making it the most powerful machine control box on the market. High-speed performance and low power consumption Solid-State Drives (SSD) have no moving parts, resulting in a quiet, cool, and fast storage solution.

Commander’s high-depth 7-inch widescreen display offers visual dependability utilizing LED backlight technology providing direct sunlight readability along with touch screen technology ideal for gloved hand use.The Commander includes Carlson machine control applications which include machine guidance, monitoring software, and productivity tools. This software makes the Commander completely scalable enabling users to increase productivity, improve accuracy, and decrease costs.

They get the ability to deploy the Commander anywhere thanks to dual hot-swappable batteries offering eight hours of operation while the ultra portable design allows it to be quickly attached or removed from vehicle and pole mounts. Plug-in a 3G card or use its integrated GPS, WiFi, and Bluetooth wireless communications for real-time mobile productivity while in the field.
