TechSolve Announces New Employees

CINCINNATI  February 10, 2005 -- TechSolve is pleased to announce several additions to its staff of Lean Enterprise and Machining Part Cost Reduction experts who serve manufacturers throughout the region. "More manufacturers are seeing both bottom and top-line benefits of investing in waste- reducing Lean Enterprise improvements and in finding the most efficient processes to machine parts. Therefore, demand for our expertise in these areas is growing," said Gary Conley, president of TechSolve.TechSolve welcomes the following new employees:Thomas E. Ades  Mr.

Ades joins TechSolve as a Senior Project Manager, Lean Group. In this role he will work with TechSolve's Lean Enterprise clients in northern Ohio. Ades earned his MBA in Finance and Economics from Indiana University and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and is certified in several international quality standards programs.

Ades most recently served as Operations Manager for Rowmark, Inc. in Findlay, OH and was a Lean Manufacturing Manager and Quality Consultant for Edison Industrial Systems Center in Mansfield, OH.George Biggs  Senior Project Manager, Lean Group. Mr. Biggs will work with TechSolve's Lean Enterprise clients in eastern Ohio.

He has a wealth of Lean experience with a number of organizations including Metex Corporation, Toyota Motor USA, Vinyl Kraft, Mill's Pride, Hobart Inc., and more. Biggs is certified in Lean Manufacturing and ISO 9000, and holds a teaching certificate from the State of Ohio Department of Education.Dr. Kenneth F.

Bloemer, Ph.D.  As Program Development Director, TechSolve Innovation and Strategic Services, Dr. Bloemer will develop future federal and state government research grant proposals.

He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and previously worked for Ethicon-Endo Surgery, Institute for Advance Manufacturing Sciences and the U.S. Air Force.

Dr. Bloemer also served as an adjunct professor of Industrial Engineering at University of Cincinnati.Michael Giuliano  Mr. Giuliano has joined TechSolve's Lean Group as Senior Project Manager, with responsibility for serving clients worldwide in Lean Office, Lean Manufacturing and Product Development efforts. Prior to joining TechSolve, Guiliano implemented a wide spectrum of global business initiatives for Intel Corporation.

As an internal Lean Content Expert, he has served as a teacher and mentor throughout North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific Regions, driving the successful transformation of an internal grass roots effort into a formal Lean Program. Giuliano earned his BS degree in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering: Operations Research, from Ohio University.Dr.

Samir Khrais, Ph.D., ME  Dr. Khrais has been appointed Lean Machining Engineer, TechSolve Machining Group. Dr.

Khrais will assist manufacturers in reducing their machine part costs through the use of TechSolve's proprietary software. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Akron and held several university teaching and research posts in mechanical, industrial and systems engineering. Dr.

Khrais has also worked as an engineer for The Technology House in Solon, Ohio and NCA in Irbid, Jordan.Dr. Xiqun Wang, Ph.D.  Dr.

Wang will serve as a Machining Engineer, TechSolve Machining Group. He earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kentucky and has significant expertise in developing web-based machining applications.

He has published numerous papers for conferences and journals around the globe and served as a research assistant at the Center for Manufacturing and Department of Mechanical Engineering at UK and in the Research Group of Ultrasonic Surgical Instruments at Tsinghua University, Beiing, China.Bruce Werner  As Senior Project Manager, Lean Group, Werner will apply his extensive knowledge of industrial engineering and Six Sigma techniques in consulting projects for TechSolve Lean Enterprise clients. He earned his MBA from Morehead State University and most recently served as a manufacturing engineer for SerVend.

Werner also worked as an engineer for 3M Precision Optics, Flowserve Corporation and General Electric.Cincinnati-based TechSolve implements Supplier Development, Lean Manufacturing and Machining Process Solutions that help companies worldwide increase profits and productivity on the factory floor and in the front office.
